Was nötig ist, um ein Projekt zuverlässig an den Start zu bringen

Every media project is different, has specific requirements and sometimes proverbial pitfalls that have to be navigated. We divide the tasks into so-called milestones, after which we evaluate the interim results with the client and correct them if necessary.

Evaluation / Discovery Process

In order to learn what your project should look like and how we can implement it, we first need to listen. This is what we do during the evaluation. How long this stage takes depends on how concretely requirements and the desired outcome are already defined at our client's end. The goal of an evaluation is a concrete specification that defines target groups and outlines user stories, Conversion-and lists the modules necessary for implementation. If desired, we also offer the evaluation separately from the implementation. This means that you can then use the results to re-evaluate which service provider you would like to work with - even though we naturally try to make the decision easy.

Project and cost plan

Based on the evaluation, we then describe the project requirements, process and costs. This also includes screen designBenchmarks oder -Mockups.

Photography

Every good website also lives from good photography. If you are still lacking suitable image material, we will be happy to take high-quality photos of your company, your employees or even of you - preferably before the screen design, as photos can play an important role there as well..

Prototyping / Screen Design

Depending on the scope and complexity of a project, it is important to start with a prototype, for example in the form of a so-called Wireframe model, test user dialogues and processes. In this context, one also speaks of the „User-Story“, because the focus should be on the positive experience users have on the website. For interactive pages, problems can be identified in this way before the lines of the wireframe model are transformed into a graphic design. It can also be used to test the structure and query patterns of complex data. With newer tools such as Adobe XD, prototyping and screen design can take place simultaneously.

Screen design is a process in which the implementation of the Corporate Identity (CI) or - if available - of the Corporate Designs (CD) is transported into the visual appearance of the website. CI and CD usually consist of the company logo and graphics, colour scheme and fonts, but also sometimes a certain kind of post-processing of photography. In the process, the screen design simulates how the page will later appear on computers and smartphones.

Templating

Every website is supported by templates, i.e. templates for pages and interactive modules. In this step, the actual code in the form of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Liquid is created from the graphic template of the screen design.

Page building

Content-Revision

Based on the templates, we then build the website, ideally already with your content. In some cases it also made sense to work with blind text and placeholders first to create a framework into which you can later incorporate your own material.

System setup, training and beta testing

Final steps before the project „live“ can go is setting up CMS, admin users, workflows, domains, email addresses, etc. After that, of course, we check that everything is working as intended. Even after the site has been published, we keep capacities ready to improve errors that only become visible in live operation. Training for you and your staff ensures that you can independently manage the content and website interactions of your users.

We regularly adapt project processes to the requirements of the respective projects and the state of the art.
